Announcing Hydrotherapy!

Hydrotherapy is the use of water in the treatment of different conditions, including arthritis and related rheumatic complaints. Hydrotherapy differs from aqua aerobics because it involves specific exercises prescribed by a physiotherapist that you do in a pool that is much warmer than a traditional pool. The exercises tend to be slower and more focused on controlled movements.

The focus of hydrotherapy exercises is to use the properties of water to can be adjusted to help your range of movement, strength, flexibility, and balance as well as reducing pain, swelling and stiffness, depending on your symptoms.

We will be commencing small group hydrotherapy classes at Lota PCYC on Tuesday 17th July.

An individual appointment is required prior to participating in this program to assess your suitability and develop a specific exercise program. Please make contact to find out more!
